vangeliis 8 Posted October 13, 2017 Posted October 13, 2017 (edited) Hi, I'm experiencing a weird issue with unicode characters in external .srt files. When there is a note character (♪) in the srt file, it's displayed as (♪) or something similar on my TV when using DLNA with direct play. The text encoding option for subtitles on the TV is set to "default" but as far as I can tell the TV or the emby server is using text encoding Western ISO or something like that instead of unicode. Is there a way to force text encoding as Unicode for external subtitles? Info: TV LG 32LB580V srt file is formatted as unicode text (UTF-8 with BOM) DLNA direct play emby server for mac latest version Any help would be greatly appreciated.
