bungee91 133 Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Currently the search feature lists all occurences of a program's airing, leading to a lot of results for a program I am wanting to record. While this makes plenty of sense for search in other local media (find all movies with the name of "Halloween"), it (to me) makes no sense for finding a recording of a show I want to setup for a series recording or in general for searching the guide for LiveTv. I think this would be much cleaner to return each program result match as a grouped single entry, such as searching for "NCIS" would have three listings displayed: NCIS NCIS : New Orleans NCIS : Los Angeles I would then select the one I want, and all showings would be displayed within that area, and I could then record individual episodes listed at the bottom, or press the series recording option for that show at the top. As it is now I have to scroll past all entries of the one show to get to the entry of the next show title, then just pick anyone one of them, and select the series recording option. 1
Luke 42078 Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 hi, yes this is a good idea for the future, thanks.
bungee91 133 Posted December 10, 2017 Author Posted December 10, 2017 @@Luke just wondering if any progress has been made on this request, as I see no benefit to how the results are returned now and would be a great enhancement for scheduling recordings.
Luke 42078 Posted December 10, 2017 Posted December 10, 2017 It's something we're interested in, thanks. 1
bungee91 133 Posted August 2, 2018 Author Posted August 2, 2018 @@Luke is this request related (code/section) to the DB search updates that are being made? If so, could this be considered to be included at some point during that development? It'd be a large improvement to that area, and if you're touching that section anyhow...
Luke 42078 Posted August 2, 2018 Posted August 2, 2018 Yes this is something we plan to do, thanks. 1
