Elenthil 4 Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 Hi, one quick question, can the addon sync the Tags that i set in Kodi back to Emby? i try it, but i hope i miss something, because it doesn't work. maybe someone has a better idea. i have 4 Kodi Clients, my 3 women’s had their favorite shows in separate playlists and one playlist for the Family. the reason is, we have 600 tv shows and round 2000 movies. to browse every time the 600 shows is "to much work" for them . what will be a good way to have separate playlists or favorites for everybody. But it should be a easy way to erase or add shows to it. setting tags in Emby is to complicated, they must use a browser, must edit the info’s, set the tags.... is a no go. hope someone can help me. greetings from germany Stephan
Angelblue05 4132 Posted October 12, 2017 Posted October 12, 2017 No it only syncs from emby to kodi. Just use favorites and make a shortcut in Kodi to emby favorites shows. That's what I do. Then you can easily add or remove from favorites. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Elenthil 4 Posted October 13, 2017 Author Posted October 13, 2017 Why do you think this is complicated? first you must select the show, then the ..., then "edit Info", scroll to tags, push the +, type the tag, hit "save". And when you will tag the next show you must do the same things again. I can handle this, but tell this my 10-year-old girl. Or do I miss an easy way? My dream config looks like this: 4 clients, all the same kodi skin and home menu, no User or Profile switching and separated watched stats for every Favorite entry. Menu: Movies TV Shows Favorites 1 Favorites 2 Favorites 3 Favorites 4 …. This is what I try in the moment. no matter on witch client I go, I have the same menu and i will have a way to but movies/shows in to the favorite menus but with an easy way. For Kodi it gives a Addon where you can tag movies/shows with 3 klicks on the remote and remove the tag. The Favorites menu entry’s will link to smart playlists and show only movies/show with the assigned tag. BUT when the tag is not sync with emby, I must do this on every client separate. Separated watched stats is in the moment not possible (I found no easy solution). Bevor I switch to Emby I had a SQL Database on the server and it was no problem, but the sql solution is not easy to maintain and scanning the library tock about 30 minutes with that many shows and movies. I know it is possible with different profiles/users, I know that we can tag movies in emby. But it is not User friendly. It should be a way that my 10-year-old girl can make it without a problem, my wife can handle it without 100 klicks that bores her. I still hope that I oversee the easy way, maybe I think to complicated. When I switch to emby I tough “Wow, exactly what I need”, easy management of my library, sharing with Kodi, lots of nice plugins, access with our smartphones and tablets and now that problem.

You can do that by launching emby for kodi > add additional users.
