icsy7867 8 Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 My ISP does not give out public IPv4 addresses, but they do hand out ipv6 addresses like crazy. I have my own pool of ipv6 addresses, and I would like to get emby listening on ipv6. Currently it does not seem like emby is listening on the ipv6 stack. ping6 google.com - Works fine I can also ping the emby servers ipv6 address throughout my internal network. but launching: [ipv6_Address]:8096 fails to load. Is there any setting or a conf file i can check to make sure ipv6 is enabled?
Luke 42078 Posted October 9, 2017 Posted October 9, 2017 emby already supports ipv6, however we do this with dual-mode sockets, and it is my understanding that freebsd does not support this.
icsy7867 8 Posted October 9, 2017 Author Posted October 9, 2017 Noooooo I was hoping I could use a jail so that it would have direct access to my processor cores. I guess I can give a VM a whirl and see how well it does with transcoding. Virtual Cores just aren't the same... Thanks fo responding so quickly, I am glad I asked instead of banging my head against this for a few hours.
