How to connect to Emby as an added user?

Hello,

 

I guess I am a bit dense with Emby as I can't figure this out. I have Emby Server set up on my Windows 7 server. I have added a user, set restrictions, password, etc. Now what?

 

I open up Kodi on one of my clients, that has the Emby for Kodi plugin, expecting to be asked for a user password or some such thing and nothing. I still have access to all content, etc.

 

Could some kind soul tell me how a user is supposed to log in using the Emby for Kodi plugin? Please don't direct me to the "User" wiki page as I have read that numerous times and it is of no help to me.

Hi, the content in Kodi was probably added to Kodi directly, right? Or it could be browsing Emby content using dlna features. Otherwise there's no way you'b be able to reach it without logging in.

 

Have you checked out the wiki article on the emby for kodi add-on?

I figured it out. You have to add the user to the Server app before installing the Kodi Emby app. That is where I went wrong. I tried adding users after installing the kodi emby app.
