Sammy 790 Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 I have wanted to migrate my server to a different Windows user or maybe even on a different PC for quite some time now but still haven't got to it do to this and that and another thing. I will probably just change it to a different user on the same PC because the other machine is often quite busy with recording Blue Iris Security Camera Footage and other intensive duties with a CPU usage of often 70% to 90%. This is not ideal for an Emby Server IMHO. At any rate, I read on this forum an old post that only Users can be backed up with Server Configuration Backup to be restored in a new server but that Guests cannot. I have two guests that I'd prefer not disturbing all their bookmarks and resume points. Is i possible to "upgrade" a guest to a user or is this no longer an issue with Emby now? Thanks.
Luke 42086 Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 they pretty much are regular users, just displayed under their own guests heading.

Sammy 790 Posted October 5, 2017 Author Posted October 5, 2017 So when I migrate the server the guests will not be lost or lose their bookmarks?
