promytius 1 Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 I DLd this whole deal last night spent hours setting up folders and then zero results. Finally today after clicking through thumbs in the roku app, I found my stuff. Why is your file structure so confusingly redundant? Why are the media not in the media places? The app shows you home library-Home Videos-movies-tunein - etc,etc all empty but home vids has media lib and Steam (????) and media library FINALLY has my stuff. What is the purpose of burying so deep, and 5 clicks to get to ANYTHING? And the counts! They are silly - they count files not folders, so the "number" of movies is silly overblown. Why count files when you specify folders for each movie? I put in 18 movies of all types as a test and it reports I have 118 movies! Thanks; I'm trying to decide to upgrade and so far not impressed with access and flexibility.
ebr 16195 Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Hi and welcome. It sounds like your library structure is either not conforming to one of our supported conventions or you simply did not choose the proper library types or locations when you set it up. Please see the Naming Wiki and then give us some specific examples of what you did and what happened and I'm pretty sure we can help. Thanks.
promytius 1 Posted October 6, 2017 Author Posted October 6, 2017 Thanks - I am working on it; will send a directory map and file examples over the weekend. I've seen some improvements in recognizing files, but still many missing; more to follow; again, thanks!
