advantage to using more current FFMPEG build?

Hi all, does anyone have real world data that shows any advantages to using a more current build of FFMPEG with Emby Server?

The one that ships with the server is from March 2017, any reason to update?

It is trial and error as newer versions sometimes break functionality.
