Nothing showing up in recordings

I just tested recording the last 5 minutes of a show and when it was done, nothing shows up in recordings.  The file was definitely processed as it's listed there in the path I've configured for recordings and it's named properly.  Does a library need to be setup specifically for recordings so that it is scanned regularly?

If I go into Live TV from the Android app or Emby Web client there is a recordings tab. No recordings show in there even though I see the media files in my configured recording directory.

Ok super weird.  A few hours later they all of a sudden show up now.  Does it take a full media library scan for these recordings to show up even though they are not in a library?  That wouldn't be good since I'd like my recordings to be viewable as soon as they are complete.

 

Also, if I "delete media" for the recording, the show still shows up in recordings just without any actual media/shows to watch.  Do empty series' get removed over time?

 

EDIT:  I now see that a library was automatically created for my recordings.  It was not there for well over an hour.  Still can't seem to get shows to be removed even though no media is in those folders.

Recordings are showing up now, right? I think the issue might be that the very first recording might have a delay due to the library having to be created. I will look at that. Thanks.

Yes that is the behavior I saw.  However, I'm seeing another issue that perhaps you can address.  If I record an episode of a show and then delete it, that show's folder remains even though there are no episodes in it.  And apparently Emby will populate metadata for empty directories in recordings it will displays series' that have no actual recordings/episodes in them.  This can be very confusing.
