Add PIN to app settings

Hi,

It would be good to have the ability to add a PIN to app settings under options on Androis TV etc so kids couldnt play around with the settings.

I think what I'd rather consider here is an option to restrict access to settings to admin users as that won't also require implementing some way for you to get back into settings when you forget the PIN.  It also fits better with the design of our user-based system as a whole.

The problem here is that sometimes the user upgrades there internet and the "auto" bandwith function doesnt work as it should as it gives maximuim bandwith....

So removing the app settings from normal user would mean that we couldnt set DIRECT STREAM from external player, change interface colour, change login behaviour etc etc.... and most importantly set maximuim bandwith.

Auto should only be giving maximum bandwidth on your local network.

 

However, explore the new per-user bitrate limitations that you can apply server side. If you configure that then their bitrate will never exceed that amount, no matter what they've configured in the app.
