Volley error?

Over the last few days I have been getting volley errors after a totally successful playback of a TV episode when the main screen tries to reload. This is happening on both my Fire TV and my Shield TV. I also get a time out and the "Up Next TV" fails to load on my Roku. This happens intermittently with no apparent pattern but, so far, it only happens after playing a TV show not after playing a movie but I cannot say for sure it is only TV show related as during the day I have been mostly playing just TV shows and at night in my bedroom I often fall asleep before the end so I do not see what happens. I often also wake up later to see that the Emby app has exited back to Roku's main screen. I only have a Roku in the bedroom.

Because it is happening on several different devices I believe that it is external to the apps involved. That is it is either my server or my network or something related to my setup.

Previously I had Plex installed on the same system and never had such a problem.

I have not been in a position to capture the logs from my server right after a failure but I will when I can.

I do not really think it could be my network as it happens right after a complete stream from my server to any of my clients.

I run DrivePool on the server but I never have any interruptions in streaming or any other functions.

When the problem happens, most of the time, exiting and reentering the app clears the problem right away.

I have Norton antivirus installed on the server. Could that be a problem?

Other than that I cannot think of anything else that is on my server that could be causing the problem.

Since I never access the internet directly from that computer, except for what Emby does, so I think I will disable Norton just to see if the problem goes away. It mostly is not necessary to protect a device from viruses if it never gets exposed.

Does anyone have other ideas or even guesses about what the problem could be?

I know you need logs but that will have to wait until I catch the failure at a time when I can access the server.

Thanks.

At the time this happened (presumably), the roku thumbnail plugin was busy creating thumbnails, which can hit your cpu pretty hard. In case that might be causing an impact, can you try removing the plugin and then seeing if the issue persists? thanks.

OK. But this has happened when no other task was running.
