giricns 0 Posted October 1, 2017 Posted October 1, 2017 (edited) Hi, I hope this is the right place for this. If it's not, I apologize in advance. First of all, I'm still relatively new to all of this, so please bare with me. Okay, so I recently moved to another state and I now have a different ISP along with a completely different style of modem. I was with U-Verse and now I'm with Spectrum. Today I got my server back up and running, but now, none of my friends can access it from their devices. With U-Verse, setting up port forwarding with their modem seemed to be a snap. I didn't need to set up a static IP, just a single exception and everything worked just fine. Here with Spectrum, port forwarding requires setup of a static IP and 2 exceptions in the port forwarding area. I have done all of this, but they still cannot access the server and even I cannot access it from the app on my phone using 4G. So needless to say, I am a bit perplexed and would appreciate any help you fine folks could offer. The attached file is a screenshot of my port forward settings. If you need any other information, please ask. Thanks! Jim W. Edited October 1, 2017 by giricns
giricns 0 Posted October 1, 2017 Author Posted October 1, 2017 Well, it appears to be working now. Sorry for the trouble.
BAlGaInTl 288 Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Thanks for the update. Did you figure out the problem? Or did it just start working?
