emby1234 1 Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Hi, I got a problem with the real time monitoring. I have the setting enabled and when I add media Emby sees it. But when I delete something its not working. Any Ideas?
PenkethBoy 2068 Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Think you are going to need to explain more on the "not working" what server version, what OS is your media stored on, how long are you waiting for emby to spot the change etc more info the better
emby1234 1 Posted September 30, 2017 Author Posted September 30, 2017 (edited) Server Version 3.2.32.0 Don't know how else I could say it. New Media gets recognized, deleted Media not. When I delete something from my Server, the media also gets removed in my Plex Library. Emby only sees changes for new files, not deleted one. It only gets deleted when the automatic task for Media Scan is executed. Hope it is clearer now :-) Edited September 30, 2017 by emby1234
Luke 42087 Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 Hi there @@emby1234, please attach the information requested in how to report a problem. thanks !
PenkethBoy 2068 Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 just tested on the beta server and it works fine - takes approx a minute to notice the directory i deleted had disappeared check your log file from the server dashboard after you delete a file and you should see the "LibraryMonitor" listed and what is doing - once you see its been spotted then browse back to the library its in and it will have gone. One point if you have open the library or item detail page before you delete the file and "just" go back to it - it will still show the data until you "refresh" the page etc 1
emby1234 1 Posted September 30, 2017 Author Posted September 30, 2017 Nope, not working. When I add something yes, there is a "LibraryMonitor" listed in the logs but not when I delete something. Forgot to mention that I use Emby via Docker maybe thats problem.
Luke 42087 Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 For linux we have been excluding deletions from the events that we're listening to due to crashes in the mono runtime. Since we're starting to move to .net core, we'll just allow it starting with the next release. thanks.
emby1234 1 Posted September 30, 2017 Author Posted September 30, 2017 Ah ok, thanks for the explanation.
