No problem at all Luke, I totally understand.

For me personally, my issues with the no mouse hover and having to refresh the page to engage the mouse have not returned since the update. (That may have been a separate issue to the https crashing though)

Cheers Mark

Are you using https?

Are you using https?

Yes?  But just testing over smartphone at home.

There's been a long running https bug on some platforms, including qnap, we still haven't figured out what's causing those crashes unfortunately. The only way to enjoy https right now would be via the qnap webserver, but apparently you need the nas to be facing the world directly to use it, which is kind of a shame.

Could you give more details on this?  What version of emby would you use to accomplish this?  Is there a tutorial?

Unfortunately I have no idea, I already have a real server facing the world and I can't really shut it down, even temporarily so I didn't get a chance to try. Your best bet for a tutorial would be the QNAP forums.

Fair enough.

Will stick with the qpkg then.

Except for https, it works very well.

For info, if it helps you, I've played movie two times to the end without problem. The Emby (HTTPS) connection is chrashed after video is stopped and Emby android go to sleep mode.

Installed latest 3.2.70 version from the first post, but it still says Version 3.2.60.11 beta in Manage Server

Did it not install correctly?  Or did the version # not get updated in the binary?

Posted

Are you sure it installed? i would try installing it again. thanks.

I got the same issue on, I'll try reinstalling again.

It also stays stuck at 75% for several minutes...

FYI Luke....I had to remove the previous version to get 3.2.70 to install. Stuck at 75% on 6 tries.

So far, everything is going great with the new version though.

Any progress, luck or news about https chrashing...

We are still looking into it, thanks.

When I updated I had to restart Emby server after the update before it displayed the correct version.

Thanks for the feedback.

Just installed this qpkg. The "Emby Server" icon installed to the QNap desktop opens up https://server_ip:8920, which didn't respond - it took some googling to figure out that I can get to it from http port 8096. Not sure why the SSL port didn't work out of the box, but had I not thought to manually change the port/protocol, I probably would've just ended up thinking "this doesn't work."  Maybe consider defaulting the shortcut to http, and setting up https in the wizard or something. Or at least a note in the package description with the 2 possible links.
