heula 192 Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 (edited) All my new episodes have wrong names in the nfo. The video file itself is renamed correct according the TVDB info but the nfo has in most cases the name "Aflevering 1" and that means episode 1. I refreshed the series info but no change. I removed all files and let Emby organize the files again but still the same issue. One example is Chicago Fire - 06x01 - It Wasn't Enough.mkv with this episode nfo Some other episodes do have a nfo generated at all but the metadata manager shows the right info. What is going on here? Server log Edited September 29, 2017 by heula
Luke 42080 Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 I'm afraid I don't quite understand. Is the file name wrong or how it is displayed?

This is also the name I see when I open The episodes in Kodi and emby metdata manager. Also no overview info is provided in the nfo and not visible in kodi as well. Edited September 29, 2017 by heula
Luke 42080 Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 auto-organize doesn't create an nfo. it just moves the file and then the normal library scan process picks up the file and handles internet metadata. this log is cut off just before that so i cannot offer any insight about what might have happened.

Something goes wrong now and if that is done by the library scan it seems to have an issue. The generated log was over 100 mb so that was too big to send with this topic. I will take another look tomorrow and see what happens than.
Luke 42080 Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 It doesn't actually depend on the library scan. auto-organize notifies the core server that the file is new and it gets handled that way. Notice the log line that says New file refresher created for \\HOME-SERVER\Series Alex\Chicago Fire\Season 6\Chicago Fire - 06x01 - It Wasn't Enough.mkv The log is cut just after that so i'm not able to see what happened.
daedalus 434 Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 (edited) it sounds like the problem is that @heula has set the tmdb scapper for episode information with higher priority than the tvdb one tmdb automatically generates a localized version of so called "episode xx" if there is no real localized version set for the episode title while tvdb simply uses the english title if a localized version is missing moving the tvdb scrapper above the tmdb one in the library -> metadata settings should fetch the information as requested Edited September 29, 2017 by daedalus

Luke 42080 Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 Only thing I can think of is that maybe moviedb is checked as the second provider, and some kind of failure occurred with the first provider (tvdb) so it moved onto the second one (tmdb).
heula 192 Posted September 29, 2017 Author Posted September 29, 2017 (edited) I think it has something to with the tv show.nfo that has been changed somehow? The tvdb id is set the same as the imdb id. I also see that some changes I have set myself like MPAA rating to Dutch and disable MPAA field for changes is set back to standard. Not by my doing? Is there something changed in the latest server updates that caused that perhaps? I think I have to refresh those series to the right tvdb id to get it working like it did before yesterday. Edit: I took a look at some random series and all of them have the same tvdb and imdb id now. It's all messed up like it seems. This is an example of a tvshow, nfo with two the same id's for tvdb and imdb. <title>This Is Us</title> <originaltitle>This Is Us</originaltitle> <rating>8.9</rating> <year>2016</year> <sorttitle>this is us</sorttitle> <mpaa>NL-12</mpaa> <website>http://nbc.com/this-is-us</website> <imdb_id>tt5555260</imdb_id> <tmdbid>67136</tmdbid> <premiered>2016-09-20</premiered> <releasedate>2016-09-20</releasedate> <runtime>0</runtime> <genre>Drama</genre> <studio>NBC</studio> <tag>Gezamenlijke Series</tag> <zap2itid>EP02431442</zap2itid> <tvdbid>tt5555260</tvdbid> Edited September 29, 2017 by heula
heula 192 Posted September 29, 2017 Author Posted September 29, 2017 That could be a problem, certainly. But how is that possible? Before yesterday all worked fine and a few updates further it's all messed up. I didn't change a thing myself.
Luke 42080 Posted September 29, 2017 Posted September 29, 2017 I am not sure, perhaps something else overwrote the nfo file. i haven't seen that before and just reviewed the code to make sure the right id's are going into the right fields, and they are.

I use Kodi. Is there something there that could overwrite the nfo? There are standard scrapers active in Kodi voor tv, movie, artist and music and they can't be dissabled. Is there a way to prevent writing to it and only allow it to be written by Emby?
Luke 42080 Posted September 30, 2017 Posted September 30, 2017 You'll have to check settings within Kodi, I'm not sure, sorry.
