Sync data using Mobile Data

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi I have some syncs setup for new shows but I have just found out it is syncing over Mobile Data.  I have Offline Sync set to Sync only on Wifi.

Is there any other settings I need to set?

Thats all you need to do. Why do you think it's seeking over mobile?

I just had it downloaded 3.8GB on Mobile, when I noticed it there was a notification saying it was downloading.

I do believe it started on Wifi but did not finish when I left the house.

Ok yes that would be the reason why. We have to check again in between each download. thanks.

Ouch, this is a problem. I would hate to pile up cell data overages because I had to grab my phone and leave the house while a transfer is in progress. Since the movie files are large, I actually suggest to stop transfers as soon as the wifi network drops. This is a common issue and has been solved by other developers. I assume this is not hard.

They'll stop anyway due to the sudden network disconnection. The only open issue is that they'll catch the failure and move onto the next download without re-checking the network.

This was for a few TV shows, so is there anyway to have it recheck the network after a failure?

Yes we will look into this for the next release of the app. thanks.

There is a beta release available, 3.0.18, and it has the fix for this. Please reconfigure your download settings. Thanks.
