Hi

I just installed MB3 server version  3.0.5171.19958.

I carried out the following on the Windows 7 PC:

1) Stopped the service

2) Downloaded the server install

3) Ran the installer

4) Tried to restart the server service which failed

5) Reran installer

6) Rebooted PC

7) MB3 Service started automatically

But the server has picked up an old library configuration. It is now  running pointing to my old, original test movie folder but using the main IBN folder. The original test would have been to use a test movie folder and test IBN folder.

Before I redo the configuration to point at the proper movie/tv folders are there are logs etc that you would like me to post?

Unless you delete its database and other files out of %appdate%\MediaBrowser-Server, it will do this. Uninstalling does not remove these files.

I think It was an error as before the install MB3 server was running pointing at my "production" movie folder and "production" IBN folder.

After install it is now pointing at an old, previous configuration of a test movie folder. The test folder is not included in the production configuration.

I now think this change in library folders is something to do with the old default library settings. I was using a custom user library and I guess the new server only reads the default library at install. In my case the default library was not being used and may have been pointing to my very old test folder.

There is only one Library now and you can assign different parts of it to different users. Your custom library should have been imported but reinstalling may have subverted that process.
