Diedrich 377 Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 (edited) tl;dr I have a feeling Star Trek: Discovery is not being searched on Fanart.tv because of a bad ID lookup due to the show's name including a colon. It would help to add Fanart.tv IDs to the External IDs section of the editor. ------------------------ I was browsing for new images for Star Trek: Discovery on Emby Server and decided to take a look at fanart.tv to see if there were in fact additional images. There are! Emby Server is only showing primary, banner, and backdrops. Fanart.tv has logo, art, and thumb images that Emby Server is not picking up. I did a full metadata refresh and image replacement and I got the same result with images not showing as available. Fanart.tv is my top image provider followed by TheTVDB and I verified that I do have all Fetch Image boxes selected. TheTVDB only has the three image types that Emby Server is picking up - it's as though Fanart.tv is not being searched. Fanart.tv IS being searched when I edit a movie, if that helps. Emby Server 3.2.32.0 edit: I can confirm that Fanart.tv is not being searched because when I look up a primary image (poster) for Star Trek: Discovery, the only sources I see are TheTVDB and TheMovieDb. Could there be an issue with the lookup because of the : (colon) in the name? https://fanart.tv/series/317448/star-trek-discovery/ It may be worth adding Fanart.tv IDs to the External IDs section of the editor. Luke 42085 Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 Fanart api don't have ids. Everything is based on tvdb ids and movie db IDs. You need to review your server metadata settings.
Deathsquirrel 745 Posted September 28, 2017 Posted September 28, 2017 In my experience fanart.tv is very slow to respond to the image requests Emby makes. If I manually edit images the fanart stuff is last to load, if it loads at all. Sometimes it just never shows up. I don't know if it's an Emby or fanart thing but their site loads pretty slowly when I go there directly so I've been presuming it's them.
