Live TV Guide Modification

Hello,

 

I would like to find out what is the best way to show the Channel Name instead of the Channel Number in the live TV Guide. Please see the picture for an example. I changed ABC's channel number to the name. Any ideas would be great - Thanks

Thanks for the response. Yes, that would be a nice feature as channel numbers are useless for me and some of the logos aren't the greatest. What I was wondering though, can I modify a certain file to pull that channel name instead of the number?

Hi

 

The channel number is needed in other apps like Fire/Android TV to go quicly to that channel.

 

But perhaps there should be an option to display the name as well - perhaps like in a ticker.

You could do a couple of options. Display channel number and name but no logo. You can also have all three like the attached images.

Isn't the name going to be redundant with the logo about 95% of the time (in your screen shot it is 100% actually)?
