No play unless you pay

My Fire TV Emby app is asking me to upgrade or unlock. Does not support playback. I've been having it for a couple of years and own it? Any suggestions?

Are you connected to a server that is Premiere?

When you just "select" a movie or when you try to play it?

 

Do you have Premiere or have you previously unlocked the app?  One of those is a requirement.

When I try to play it. I got a new fire tv. I bought the app for my old fire tv. I figured that my paid app would transfer over. It's the unlock feature. I do not have premier.

Is the same amazon user logged into the the amazon device that originally made the purchase?

Yes. I have multiple FireTVs.

Make sure the new one is setup to allow access to the store so it can validate the purchase.

Well, we care .

 

If the device is on the same account and can access the store then it should validate as purchased.  It would only need to do that validation once as we cache it in the app.
