jriker1 20 Posted September 25, 2017 Posted September 25, 2017 I just installed Emby Theater on a WIndows 10 computer that also has Emby Server on it. Installed the one from the Microsoft Store. It comes up with a blank screen plus the standard windows minimize maximize close buttons but nothing is on the screen. Not even a setup asking where Emby is. JR

Guest asrequested Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 If you're running Theater on Windows 10, use the desktop version. Much better. https://emby.media/emby-theater.html
Luke 42078 Posted September 26, 2017 Posted September 26, 2017 I think he is on the desktop version. Maybe he did install from the store but I have never heard of the store version showing a blank screen before. It sounds to me like he might have both installed.
djumv 0 Posted October 5, 2017 Posted October 5, 2017 Actually guys, I see similar behavior on my Windows 7 build. It’s the desktop version. Blank screen, when I right click the taskbar icon, it comes up with the electron window.
Luke 42078 Posted October 6, 2017 Posted October 6, 2017 what if you just launch the app from the start menu instead? What could be the problem is that you've either disabled Windows 7 Aero or it has crashed. Try rebooting your machine and updating your graphics drivers. Make sure windows update is up to date. The app depends on Windows 7 Aero being functional and if that's not the case you'll definitely get a black screen. 1

I appreciate it!
