xilex 9 Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 I was testing starting a live stream from iOS app to Emby Theater and paused the video before closing the app. I noticed that it continued to "record" the live stream because I guess it assumes the user will come back later to resume. It only stopped when I went back into iOS and pressed the Stop button. I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to have some sort of user-defined timeout. For example, if paused for more than one hour, terminate the stream. What does everyone else think?
Luke 42078 Posted September 24, 2017 Posted September 24, 2017 Yea currently it will kill the transcoding stream within a minute or so but it is possibly leaving the live tv tuner open. that's something we'll have to look at for a future update to the app. thanks.
