roberto188 33 Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 I use Emby quite a bit to stream live TV from my HDHomerun tuners. However, periodically my disk will get full because Emby never clears out the transcoding-temp folder. Any ideas why this is happening?
Luke 42083 Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 hi @@roberto188, please discuss an example and attach the information requested in how to report a problem. thanks !
roberto188 33 Posted September 22, 2017 Author Posted September 22, 2017 I figured it out. For whatever reason, when someone either simply exits the Roku app, or the iPhone app prior to hitting the back button which "stops" the stream, Emby continues to dump temp transcode files to the directory even though the ffmpeg process has terminated. I'll try and replicate the problem and post some logs.
Luke 42083 Posted September 22, 2017 Posted September 22, 2017 That would mean that ffmpeg hasn't actually stopped. In the case of Roku, there is no way for us to catch the home button press so you'll just have to wait a few minutes for the server to realize the disconnect has happened and it will kill the session.
