Screen resolution - Xbox One

Hi,

 

Not sure what impact this has on anything, but noticed this when viewing stats for nerd on the xbox one

 

My TV is only a 720p one, and i have the xbox configured for 720p

 

When i look at stats for nerds it is telling me that my screen resolution is 1920x1080

 

Just thought i would mention it

Well that's what the video player reports as surface dimensions so not much we can do about it. it is probably due to some kind of virtualized scaling.

I'm been wondering this too it appears xbox one reports the player dimensions is only using 1080p while the video dimensions is 2160p on a 2160p,4k TV. Is it correctly displaying 4k video on the xbox one x?

Yes the video uses full resolution. The user interface runs at 1080p and that's why that happens. I will just remove that piece of information. Thanks.
