Make this 'folder first' sorting optional?

The ability to create a mixed libraries was the most important factor in choosing emby for my old server, and I'd like to use it again on my new one, except now it sorts TV shows before movies, which largely defeats the purpose of a mixed library for me.

 

Yes I know life is supposed to be easier if you separate movies and TV shows, but many people with categorized libraries would still like to have documentaries, anime, sports, stand-up comedy, etc. in mixed libraries. I can deal with snags in the autodetection and identification if I have to, but I'd rather see a Batman movie sorted right next to a Batman series when I'm browsing.

 

And I know this behavior is supposed to mimic a file system, but generally we have each movie in a folder rather than a single folder full of video files, correct? So my "Ghost in the Shell (1995)" folder would still be right next to my "Ghost in the Shell- SAC" folder in my file system.

 

I've looked to see if there's an option I'm missing, but from what I understand, this is forced.

I believe if you use "Sort Name" you should get what you are looking for.  Select Edit Info on your Movies library and put say "1" in Sort name field and hit save.

I use sort names, but the problem is that emby sorts folders (collections or series) before single movies now when you sort by name.

Yeah would like it when set to sort by name to sort everything by name.
