DropBox Cloud & Folder Sync failed

Recommended Posts

Good Afternoon All,

I am having a bit of a problem getting DropBox setup on my Emby Server, I have recently started traveling and decided I should get the Sync feature setup for my mobile devices. I have ran through the DropBox setup, pretty simple and have set various things like this before and everything looks fine. I have tried removing the plugins completely and re-adding them and along with the DropBox apps but no luck.

Whenever I am selecting items to sync they are transcoding OK and are "Ready to transfer" but I am receiving the following in the notifications area:

Cloud & Folder Sync failed.

The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.

I have tried setting up Google Drive also and receive the same message also, I have attached my server logs if that's any help.
Thanks,
Edd.

Hi Luke,

Thanks for the reply, since the update I am no longer having the 404 error but it seems this has changed to a 400 error:

Cloud & Folder Sync failed.

The remote server returned an error: (400) Bad Request.

Cloud & Folder Sync failed.
The remote server returned an error: (404) Not Found.

I have disconnected my DropBox and deleted the Dropbox App and also removed the Emby plugin and started fresh but still receiving a 400 error.
I have attached my latest log also if that is any help.

Thanks,
Edd.

I too am having exactly the same issue!

Originally tv shows were syncing over and over again for no apparent reason (movies/single files seemed fine), but that seems to have calmed down, however I'm getting the 400 (404) error when it tries to sync to Dropbox. I have uninstalled/reinstalled, set it all up again, but still it fails with the files just sitting there waiting to transfer...

It worked a few beta releases ago, I'm now on 3.2.32.12 beta. I tried installing the stable release but still it fails to transfer/upload.

A log is attached from earlier for reference

Update: 2017-09-30 - Issue still exists with Version 3.2.32.13

Hi,

Version 3.2.33.0 still shows this issue. I can't find any way to make it work my end, so is there anything you need to investigate further from your side?

I rely heavily on users streaming from Dropbox, so right now they're all transcoding (again) on the fly from my system (it's not accessing the files already there).

Many thanks

We're looking into this guys, thanks. It is actually due to an announced Dropbox API change that took place at the end of September. We just didn't have an update ready in time. Thanks.

An update to the dropbox plugin has been pushed. Please try it out. Thanks !

Thanks @@Luke!

It would seem there were two updates (?) for the Dropbox plugin, as the sync would start again, but nothing that was sync'd would stream. I had another Dropbox plugin update just now when updating the server to 3.2.36.2

Regardless, I can CONFIRM everything is now working! Yay! Thanks!

Confirmed versions for fix:

Dropbox Plugin 3.1.3.0

Emby Win Server 3.2.36.2 (beta)

Hi @@Luke,

Sorry for bringing this subject back from the dead, but I seem to have lost the Dropbox option in Sync now, with the Download & Sync page just showing 'unknown' in the as the Dropbox folder name, instead of the original name given.

Subsequently there is stuff just sitting there to transfer, but the HTTP requests show a 204 or 200. It thinks there's nothing to transfer if the Dropbox/Emby link has been broken?

Local sync or to other remote devices works, just Dropbox busted.

Clean log file attached with manually activated scheduled tasks of Cloud & Folder Sync, but maybe it's more to do with the Dropbox plugin? I've tried setting that up again but nothing has changed.

Thanks
