Jdiesel 1431 Posted September 18, 2017 Posted September 18, 2017 (edited) I can't recall if this popped up with .48 or not but I've noticed that 6 channel AC3 is being transcoded into 6 channel AC3 rather than being direct played or stream copied. Edited September 19, 2017 by Jdiesel
Jdiesel 1431 Posted September 18, 2017 Author Posted September 18, 2017 Not sure if this is related to the request to have multichannel aac transcoded to multichannel AC3 to bypass Roku's poor aac implementation.
ebr 16169 Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 I can't recall if this popped up with .48 or not but I've noticed that 6 channel AC3 is being transcoded into 6 channel AC3 rather than being direct played or stream copied. The app requested only two channels. Not sure why it sent back 5.1...
Jdiesel 1431 Posted September 19, 2017 Author Posted September 19, 2017 I believe the sound still played on that particular video. Not sure if the Roku or TV downmixed the audio from 5.1 to to 2.0 or if it played only the R&L channels of the 5.1 stream.
ebr 16169 Posted September 19, 2017 Posted September 19, 2017 Can you please replay this item and then send a log from the app? Thanks.
Jdiesel 1431 Posted September 19, 2017 Author Posted September 19, 2017 I will ask the user to submit a log file
Jdiesel 1431 Posted September 19, 2017 Author Posted September 19, 2017 Same user, same client, different file, same issue. I will have to wait for my brother to get home before I get an in-app log sent though.
