Black Screen on EMBY Android App

Trying to play video on the Android App and all I get is a black screen. EMBY is showing that the video is playing and direct streaming but nothing is happening. Doesn't seem to matter if I am streaming on my local network or on cell data plan. I've read in some areas that when streaming to Android that all videos are transcoded to mkv if that's true then doesn't look like that is the case for me and I'm not sure how to proceeded.

Hi, we don't transcode all videos to mkv, only videos that need transcoding. What device and version of android? thanks.

It's a Samsung Galaxy S8+. Android version 7. That what your looking for?

Never mind. i think i found the issue...maybe.

Yep turns out my storage drive decided to develop bad sectors. ran a file check and whala working again. Thought i had a major issue for a second there,

Think my issues was similar. File that I have been moving to my NAS where getting corrupted in the transfer. Not sure how but after rebooting my NAS and re-transferring the files everything seems to work again.
