Emby Theater wont start

I had to buy a new computer to run my Emby on and now it wont load

 

The server runs fine but when running Emby T it opens Electron but does not load Theater to it.

 

If I click the Electron Icon it tells be where I can find the theater app or just drop the app into the box.

 

 

In task manger I have 3 electrons running also about 6 chrome is this normal?

Multiple electrons is normal. In the task manager, do you see something like this?

yes I see this so that is ok.

 

Still cant get it to run for some reason, it used to open electron the theater would start straight away now it just does nothing I just get the emby icon in the task bar at the bottom

Make sure windows 7 areo is running and has not been disabled and has not crashed.

does that mean emby Theater won't ever run on Windows 10 because Microsoft removed the aero for windows 10? I'm running windows 10 and launching Amby theater only gives an empty window

The app runs just fine on Windows 10. In Windows 10 it's called DWM - Desktop Window Manager. It's same thing, and the app depends on it. That means if you've tinkered and disabled DWM, or if DWM has crashed, then yes it will affect the app.

Turns out in the short time doing updates in windows I got a multiple chrome virus.

 

After running malware which found 330 instances, was able to continue with the 200 plus updates for my version of windows 7 including having to burn a disc with service pack 1 on it.

 

After this was done Emby installed and is now working as beautiful as ever.
