dougw03 16 Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 (edited) Hello, Some of my recordings are getting split into two files. One file is ~7 minutes long and the other file is corrupted and doesn't show the length but will play. I only have a sample set of three recordings. For the recordings that don't get split, I have the recording set to start on time. For the ones that do split, I have a beginning padding of 1 minute. Both have an end padding of 3 minutes. Can you try to replicate this issue? The bad recordings create two log files separated by 7 minutes. I've attached relevant logs to this post. Luke 42086 Posted September 14, 2017 Posted September 14, 2017 Hi, did you forget to attach the log file? The most likely cause of this is recording failing, then retrying and that's why it got split into two files.
dougw03 16 Posted September 15, 2017 Author Posted September 15, 2017 Sorry I forgot to click attach. I suspected that was the case too but it's happened on multiple recordings now and it seems to split at a integer multiple of 7 minutes per 30 minutes of show. Also the remainder of the recording is always corrupted and isn't seekable. Please take a look and let me know if you're able to reproduce the issue. Hi, did you forget to attach the log file? dougw03 16 Posted September 15, 2017 Author Posted September 15, 2017 Try turning off quick sync. Hi Luke, is there a specific reason why quicksync would cause problems on some recordings but not all? Without quicksync, I can't get recorded shows to stream smoothly over my wireless network and would like to avoid turning it off if possible. I am using an Intel NUC as my server.
Luke 42086 Posted September 15, 2017 Posted September 15, 2017 I'm not sure at this point, but I think what we'll probably do is expand the configuration so that you can turn it off for recording but keep it for playback.
