Emby for Kodi - Playstate of TV Recordings

Recommended Posts

After Emby for Kodi is now running fine, I still have one last problem.

I had removed the SQL database and now the playstates of the TV recordings are no longer saved.

Can I reactivate it and put it back into the advancedsettings. xml as a videodatabase or is there a problem with Emby for Kodi?

Unfortunately there was no feedback, so I tried it once.

Kodi for Emby and an SQL database do not seem to work together.

Is there still a watched status to be integrated in planning for TV recordings or does anyone know another solution?

tv recodings go into your regular emby library so once the recording is complete it really should just work.

I am now using Kodi for Emby, but there is no live TV support integrated.

Therefore I use the VU+ plugin from Kodi which communicates directly with the receiver so Emby can't know this.

In Kodi, however, TV recordings and video playstates seem to be written into the same database.

However, this does not seem to be forwarded by the Kodi for Emby plugin to the Emby server.

You could add you the recordings folder to your Emby server.

Thank you for your feedback.

I've tried that, but there is only TV as a suitable way to add libraries and this fits more to series.

The recordings of the VU+ are unfortunately not recognized and named.

I just wait and see, maybe the live TV function will be released in a later release.

I hope.......: -)

Did you try using the auto organize addon?  If that can't recognize the VU+ naming then yeah, that sucks :)

I've tried that before, but as I see it, it's not meant for TV recordings.

If your recordings are not matched well with a TV library, you could create a library with the "home videos & photos" type.  You won't have metadata unless you manually add it, butt he recordings will show up with the file names and Emby will track the played status/progress.

Thank you very much for the suggestion, I will try it out.
