No Compatible Streams

Hello,

Using Emby Theater ver 2.8.3 on Windows 7 Pro machine

For some time now, I'm having many issues when I click a movie to play I receive a "Playback Error - No Compatible Streams".  I have tried shutting down and restarting the server, I have tried refreshing the Library.  Sometimes, these fix it, but typically not.  There isn't rhyme nor reasons to which movies throw that error and which ones actually work.  I'm frustrated with the issue, and hopefully looking to get some support on this topic and get it cleared up once and for all.

It's weird because I can drop out of Emby Theater and use Emby for WMC and the movie plays fine.

However, I like the UI of Theater better and would prefer to use it.

I'm currently using version 3.2.30.0 of the server, but this issue has been plaguing me for a few server versions now.

Below attached is my latest log file and a screen grab of the error which I receive.

I appreciate any assistance on this topic that you can provide to get this issue fixed.

Thank you.

Hi Luke,

Sorry, I'm trying to play .mkv files, in this case which seems to be repeatable, Office Christmas Party.

Where do I find the media info in the web app that I need to paste?

The video file should play just fine. I believe there have been some issues with MJPEG, in the past. I wonder if that may be a factor. Are you able to share the file? Maybe dropbox or google drive? I'd like to test it. And what GPU are you using?

Quick question, are you able to play in the web app?

Arrrrggghh...  So tonight everything is playing fine in Emby Theater.  I'm going to keep this topic open because I know it will happen again.
