2 x Old HDHomeRun Duals - Cant get to work

So I have a small window between the wifes recordings to again try and move to native Emby and away from nextPVR.

Prep _

Removed plugin, restarted, added 2 of my 3 HDHD3-EU tuners (giving 4 tuners total), Added XML guide, restarted. Mapped channels, The excluded about 30 channels, leaving the 15 I need.  That process takes about 30 minutes to setup for this test.

Test -

It was 10:45, I set 5 things to record in the guide.  4 should fire at 11:00, 1 at 11:05.  Due to the nature of the TV stations here, these 5 shows should use 4 tuners (and two were from the same 'provider'.

Waited till 11:00 - see in log at 11:00 - 4 fires (correct), only one TV show is recorded (friends) - not correct

At 11:05, see in log anther fire - but again nothing new in the recordedTv folder - just friends still.

Tuners show 2 of the 4 are in use.  There should be 4 in use at this stage.

Logs are attached.  go to 11:00 and 11:05 to see the activity.

Screen shots of all I said above are attached.

I have to set back to normal NextPVR mode withing 5 hours so I will re-do this test again - but it is not stable enough for leaving it like this if i dont want to get divorced from the wife.

OK - after the restarty, it them showed the three shows that would have been in the middle or recording - so I am going to stop those, and schedule another set.

The bits that have recorded are mkv - so converted on the fly - but so jerky and clicky as it is is bad reception.  Another issue to work through.

I finally saw two active recordings for the first time in the console - alas both shows had finished a while ago- also strange - all 4 tuners said 'watching'.

Restarted the server again, all clear.  Flagged 5 shows to record - 2 at 2:30, 2 and 2:45 and 1 at 2:50 - should use all 4 tuners.

Just one show kicked off at 14:30  - nothing in active recordings.  tuners say 4 in use - so I guess they did not clear.

I am bailing on this test now - it is all just too hard for something that should just work.

I cant see how others have it working with the old HDHR Dual tuners (i mean really old).  My system is I7, all cabled Ethernet, GB switches but at the end of the day nextPVR works - so it cant be the tech.

As a side now - Plex recorded TV also worked fine - I paid for a month to test that when it was first released a while back.

Do you have most recent beta firmware on them? My two HDHR-3US are working fine in Emby. I did run a hdhomerun setup channel scan first on windows and made sure it synced up to my.hdhomerun.com (you'll see the right channel count reflected). My firmware is 20170815  I'm running mine on linux debian 8

Hi,

I updated to the required beta when this first came out, since then, there has been a real release which I updated them all to.

Maybe the difference is I am running on linux. I see from your logs you are on windows. I'm on openmediavault 3.x which uses Debian 8.x  Plex dvr was very inconsistent for me but Emby hasn't missed a single recording on the hdhomerun hdhr3-us tuners yet.

Yep - Maybe that is it.

I have a Readynas 314 and it has emby now - but it is just not quick enough for us so we are back to windows.

I also tried DVBLink on that nas and I got some pixelation when I tried to record 6 things - so I have resigned to the fact it is not fat enough.

Im running sickrage and utorrent (and plex as a backup) on that NAS - maybe it is overloaded.

One day I will upgrade to a current model NAS, then I can re-try all these.

I updated to the latest emby new release for readynas (so unix), thought I would give that a quick go - Just gave it the one HDHR Dual, set three recordings (2 from same network, 1 from diff network -  so all three should have fired).  Only got two recordings - they still say active recordings, and the two tuners still say watching - even though they both ended 2 hours ago.  Logs cant send as still adding libraries so massive.  I just wanted to see if this was a windows issue.
