vaise 340 Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 For background - i have stopped using the nextPVR plugin as I only use it for recorded TV. So I let NextPVR do the recordings to its own area, then I want a library over that area. This shipped 'Recordings' library keeps popping up. I remove it, and it comes back again. Its content type is mixed content. I would like to use this built in library but as the content type is mixed content, it then add's the nextPVR recordings as 'Movies' which makes a mess of my libraries - latest movies shows recorded TV stuff. I would like the content on this to be able to be changed to 'home video's' so it does nothing with it. For now, I have created a library called RecordedTV - NextPVR over my NextPVR folder - so I have two showing - the empty shipped one that keeps coming back and my new library. In summary - Can I set emby somewhere to never show this 'Recordings' folder, or can I be allowed to change its content type to home videos.
Luke 42081 Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Yes, just go into emby library setup and use the option to change content type.
vaise 340 Posted September 3, 2017 Author Posted September 3, 2017 hi luke, nope - when I try that, I get this : But as this library is 'special' as in part of Emby liveTV - if you delete it, it coes back on its own with the bad (for me) library content type. Ta.
Guest asrequested Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Just set your own recording paths, then you can do what you want. 1
vaise 340 Posted September 3, 2017 Author Posted September 3, 2017 Hi, Thanks for the reply but I dont see how that will help in this situation - as i dont use Emby LiveTV. I just use nextpvr to record the shows, and i want a library over that folder of the type that does nothing (i.e home videos). I want to either remove the built in Emby Live TV one, or change it to re-use it for the view over nextPVR. The mixed content setting adds all files as movies when it is scanned.
vaise 340 Posted September 3, 2017 Author Posted September 3, 2017 I have sorted my situation. I have removed the entry for d:\RecortedTV in the liveTV setup as below : This now means the built in LiveTV 'Recordings' library does NOT auto create itself and I have a clean set of libraries again as below :
