pir8radio 1312 Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 It seems when a stream is playing on the Android TV (live tv) and the client device just hard kills (looses power) the server keeps the stream open. I assumed this worked like some of the other clients, where a websocket connection feeds playback info to the server every second? Maybe not. Just FYI I think this is a known issue on the ET Client, just putting it out there for the ATV peeps... lol, sorry I've been posting so much lately, I've been testing all kinds of clients and scenarios.
Luke 42077 Posted September 3, 2017 Posted September 3, 2017 Yes this is a known issue for a few apps. Thanks.
pir8radio 1312 Posted September 10, 2017 Author Posted September 10, 2017 (edited) Maybe as a safety net, we could have a scheduled task that checks if no users are watching LiveTv, and no active recordings scheduled, the task sends a stop to all tuners? I've been noticing stuck tuners now and then, no rhyme or reason, an emby server restart from the dashboard clears them. Thanks for reading. Edited September 10, 2017 by pir8radio
ebr 16171 Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 There is obviously not a lot the app can do about this .
pir8radio 1312 Posted September 10, 2017 Author Posted September 10, 2017 There is obviously not a lot the app can do about this . i understand, I was just recommending the server side "check" via a scheduled task. The stuck tuners recently have not been hard killed, they just randomly get stuck no pattern to my use.
