jhoff80 94 Posted August 31, 2017 Posted August 31, 2017 (edited) I know that Nextup for months now has only worked in native mode, not addon mode... but does anyone actually know what's conflicting between the two? Or if there's any alternative that is Addon playback mode friendly? Previously it didn't affect me too much since I was using Native mode with no problem... but lately I've been traveling with my Compute Stick and so addon mode is essential. I looked into it back when it broke and could not figure out if it was a change in Next up or in the add-on that broke it. Why not enable play the next episode automatically in the kodi settings > player? That's what I use, no problem. Edited September 1, 2017 by Angelblue05
simpman 6 Posted October 19, 2017 Posted October 19, 2017 I have tested various things and one thing I see that is different when calling from Next Up is that it goes into the conditional "if not propertiesPlayback" but does not when manually calling the same JSON query from web interface ("Play as regular item"). I've managed a workaround to get this working by manually setting emby_playbackProps window('emby_playbackProps', value="true") before setting propertiesPlayback in playbackutils.py and this fixes the issue completely but undoubtedly causes issues with Emby Cinema which I don't use anyway. I cannot figure out from the code or logs why it's going to that conditional, but hopefully this can help you pinpoint the issue. 2
