Unable to record TV programs with Android TV

Hello,

I had a test in June of a month at Emby first.

I had the record button and I could record.

I just redeemed a year of first emby, put the key in my server and I do not have the option available in my app on my nvidia shield.

 

Someone would have an idea, I did a lot of tests without success.

What about in the web client do you see a record button ?

Be sure you are using the proper key.  If you used a different email address, it will be a new key.

Actually I no longer see the record button up in the web client.

I had two accounts with them different email addresses.

I deleted the one that had been used for my first tests and left the one that corresponds to the one-year key that I just bought.

I see well on the dashboard "thank you to support emby".

 

I really do not understand.

What does this page in your dashboard look like - especially under "Status"?

That all looks fine.  Can you please PM me the email address to which the key was sent?

Did you also create new users on the server?

 

Are you sure the user you are using has the option to allow recording management enabled?

recording management is enabled.

 

At first I did tests with an account and an email address.
I wanted to buy a license for one year I indicated another address.
Following your reply, I created a new account with the email address associated with the key and deleted the first account.

I reinstalled on my PC windows emby, entered the account with the key and I still do not save the button on the app of my nvidia shield nor on the web application with chrome and edge.

I use a .m3u file, can it come from there?

Okay, at this point, I think everything with your key is fine and whatever the issue is is not related to that.

 

So, I'm going to move this to the Live TV section and can you please provide some screen shots of your user setup and the screens where you say you do not see the record button (the web app is best).

I hope yours will get an idea.

I have just tested with other m3u files and I still have the same problem, impossible to save.

Have you setup a guide provider?

 

Emby records programs as opposed to channels so we need program data in order to record.

Not actually before I had a guide, I no longer have an up-to-date guide in xml file.

I can not find one up to date.

Okay, so that is the problem.  In order to record anything, we will need program data.

I found an xml guide and can record the channels that have a list of programs.

I still have to find a complete xml file.
