Recording TV shows with 2 episodes - Don't match up

I realize this isn't an Emby issue, but just seeing if anyone has any ideas...

 

My 5-year old son watches a bunch of shows that include 2 episodes in a half-hour segment. The TV Guide data doesn't match up to the actual episodes numbers. What usually happens is that Episode 1 in the guide is actually episodes 1 and 2, episode 2 from the guide is actually episodes 3 and 4, and so on.

 

So when I go to setup a series recording, and exclude episodes currently in my library, it doesn't record the right episodes since they aren't labelled correctly. Even more, Auto-Organize doesn't label them correctly since the TV Guide data is incorrect.

 

This means I can't auto-organize them straight from the live TV recordings and have to manually rename all of the episodes that don't match then move them into a separate folder to be picked up by the Auto-Organize task.

 

Again, not an Emby issue - Emby is doing everything it supposed to. Just seeing if anyone has any ideas to make this process better, since you guys are all much smarter than me
