TylerV76 84 Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 I noticed today that all my DVR recordings are transcoding when being viewed however all other media including live TV direct plays. Am I missing something? Shouldnt the recordings also direct play since the channel they recorded from direct plays?

TylerV76 84 Posted August 28, 2017 Author Posted August 28, 2017 If I play a recording on any of the PC's in my network via a browser such as Chrome or Firefox the video transcodes instead of direct play. If I play it thought the Emby Theater app in windows 10 it direct plays, my phone direct plays etc. I cant use the theater app because the TV volume overrides my PC volume settings for some reason. If I play a live channel or video from a file it direct plays. The only thing that transcodes is the recorded shows. Attached are the logs from the latest attempt. server-63639509348.txt

I didnt see that thread when searching. Thank you. Now if I could get my restart after an upgrade issue handled Id be all set. That will eventually require another thread.
