Playing the wrong format

Native file format movies ie video ts plays 4x3 not 16x19 this happens about 30% of the time when i check the nfo file it is listed as 4x3

Ok @@svpledger, what Emby app are you playing from? What's happening here is it looks like ffmpeg mis-detected media information about the folder rip. Why, because technically it doesn't actually support them. We're trying to force it to examine and transcode them and sometimes it doesn't work out well. That's why for us, transcoding of folder rips is only considered experimental.

 

Unfortunately there isn't a solution I can give you today other than converting it to an mkv video file. The only other options are all going to require new development, for example, letting you override media info, or trying to improve our support so that we can remove the experimental label, etc.

Emby player from roku, these movies play perfectly outside of emby ie vlc and other players

Those players have native support for folder rips, Roku does not. That's the big difference.
