Luke 42086 Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 Hi there, we don't use nfo data for playback purposes. Can we please look at an example? Please attach the information requested in how to report a media playback issue. Thanks !
svpledger 0 Posted August 28, 2017 Author Posted August 28, 2017 Here is the log for the video ts movie X_MEN_APOCALYPSE this is a 480x720 16x9 movie that plays in a 4x3 format at a low resolutionffmpeg-transcode-268ce34d-72a1-45f2-a528-7614dcf65fe3.txt
Luke 42086 Posted August 29, 2017 Posted August 29, 2017 Ok @@svpledger, what Emby app are you playing from? What's happening here is it looks like ffmpeg mis-detected media information about the folder rip. Why, because technically it doesn't actually support them. We're trying to force it to examine and transcode them and sometimes it doesn't work out well. That's why for us, transcoding of folder rips is only considered experimental. Unfortunately there isn't a solution I can give you today other than converting it to an mkv video file. The only other options are all going to require new development, for example, letting you override media info, or trying to improve our support so that we can remove the experimental label, etc.
svpledger 0 Posted August 29, 2017 Author Posted August 29, 2017 Emby player from roku, these movies play perfectly outside of emby ie vlc and other players Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk
