3.2.29.0 - Messenger plugin

I am not sure if this is plugin related (Messages plugin), or the actual Emby Server.  I have been getting the following crash since latest update.  If I restart, it will run for about 30 seconds to a minute before crashing again with MediaBrowser.Model.Session.ClientCapabilities.get_SupportedCommands().

 

Emby Server is on v3.2.28.5 beta

Messages plugin is on v1.0.6398.5405

Try removing the messenger plugin

That would mean the plugin developer needs to update their plugin.

I just completed the update to 3.2.29.0.  Now when opening a browser to configure the server I am getting the error:

Attached is the log file along with the unhandled exception error log.

 

Once this error occurs, the server will shut down and requires a manual restart.  

 

Please advise if there is any additional information needed.

 

Seems to happen even if not opening a browser.  It just takes a few minutes to occur.

Remove the messenger plugin.

That seems to have solved the problem.  I will watch it and let you know if it reoccurs.

I also had that problem, 20 secs. after starting Emby that error would pop up. The server shutdown when clicking the button, but you could leave it and Emby would keep running. The "Message" plugins settings page was also all scrambled. Uninstalled and it seems fine for now.

Welp, I added new arrays to the plugin under the configuration but... I'm not getting it.

 

Did we change to arrays so we could allocate specific parts of memory better? Only use exactly what we needed?

 

 

Everything is setup okay, I just can't get the plugin to update the config from the c# side of things.

I just updated to the new version, an error message kept pupping up after which click on this dialog box it will disappear and emby will short down

Thanks removing the text plug seem to have resolved the issue.

I have tried running emby server as a service (my normal method) and as an application both with the same crash occurring.

I have also observed in the security log the following failure when scheduled task to check for emby server app updates

I'm having the same issue, I've rebooted a few times and even shut down for a few minutes booting from cold, still getting this after about 10sec after Emby starts:

I update to new server .29 I kept getting an error message 

So I updated to the beta version .29.1.  Kept getting same error.

So I started deleting plugins from the plugin folder, one at a time.

 

Once I removed messenger.dll the problem stopped.

 

No error message and the beta version is running fine.

 

So I rolled back to the stable version.  

No error message it appears to be running fine.

 

Just wanted to share this info.

I am receiving this error once Emby Server started back up after the most recent update (attached). Once I click ok the Emby icon disappears from the tray and I have to restart Emby to have it happen almost immediately again.

Never mind found my answer in a different post. Need to remove the "Messaging" plugin and it works fine.
