Regarding Theme Songs: https://github.com/MediaBrowser/Wiki/wiki/Theme%20songs%20&%20videos

What are the valid audio formats?

I too a blu-ray, found the MKV with the background video loop, and exported audio into an MKA file (with MKVtoolnix), and put it in a theme-music folder in the movie's folder. The music doesn't play.

Do I need to convert the MKA to a different format like MP3 or MP4?

Thanks :)

MKA not supported in Emby 2.8.4 on Windows 10.

MP3 works.

(Now I need a tool to convert multi-channel MKA to MP3.)

We'll add mka for the next release, thanks.

ET now plays MKA theme music! Thanks!

But, it's only in stereo. Not in multi-channel / surround / etc. It's a minor detail, but if you can slip it in sometime that would be cool. :)

I have the option for theme music turned on, but it doesn't work for me.  I don't see the theme music file in any of my folders either, so they are not being automatically downloaded.  Do I have to download the theme music myself and put it in the appropriate move folder?

Yes, you can learn how to organize them here:

Thanks.

I don't think they are automatically loaded by Emby. I've created all my theme music myself, manually populating folders as I get audio clips.
