Crestj 68 Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 I currently have my movies in a folder called movies all in subfolders named after the movie. \Movies\Movie_Name\Movie.mkv Fairly straight forward. I used to use Couchpotato but stopped due to its inconsistency fetching movies I've asked to to look out for. I've moved to Radarr but this does not support movies collected together in a "collections" folder which I have quite a few of, e.g. \Movies\Star Wars Collection\Movie_Name1\Movie1.mkv \Movies\Star Wars Collection\Movie_Name2\Movie2.mkv I know that Emby can group movies together into a collection without needing to group them in folders but wondered if there was an easy way to move to a structure of removing collections folders and recreating collections logically in Emby? Seems like a big task with about 80 sets of collections!
Solution Luke 42086 Posted August 24, 2017 Solution Posted August 24, 2017 Drag and drop the folders in windows explorer, then once the library is scanned try the autoboxsets plugin. 1
Crestj 68 Posted August 24, 2017 Author Posted August 24, 2017 (edited) LOL! Almost sounds like this plugin was custom made for this task! Do I need to remove the collections from Emby or will it realise they are no longer arranged in disk like this? Or will the plugin remove the old collections in Emby? Edited August 24, 2017 by Crestj
Deathsquirrel 745 Posted August 24, 2017 Posted August 24, 2017 When I made this switch the existing collections went away after I moved their contents and deleted the collection folder. That was a long time ago but give it a go.Empty collections normally aren't displayed in the UI anyway. 1
