hooraah 5 Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 I used to use bittorrent sync to backup my files to a few locations that I ran old computers at - my mothers house, our family business, and a friends house. I believe (although I'm not 100% on this) that if I needed to download a file from my personal library, I would be able to share the bandwidth of all 3 locations the file is stored on, correct? So that got me thinking - What if emby server could use a BTsync protocol to pool bandwidth from multiple locations? I suppose if a user wanted to stream a file, then emby server would have to give them the read access BTsync token and allow their local player to pull a particular file using the sync protocol, and then it would be pulled from multiple sources instead of just my own upload capability.
