Web Player wont Playback

Trying to get an episode to play but the web player just gives a spinning icon of death.

Hi, you have a really old version of ffmpeg installed. Try updating that and then it should work. Thanks.

I thought you might say that. I saw it was old so I am reading up on the best method for Debian.

What do you need it complied with?

You might have an easier time just downloading a static build from here and configuring it in the emby server dashboard:

Just make sure to mark both the ffmpeg and ffprobe files as executable. If you want to compile it, then I would suggest using everything from that johnvansickle build as a starting point. Thanks.
