Demo Mode

I often have people over who want to see my home theater setup and what i usually do is i play them a couple of impressive trailers.

 

I thought it would be interesting to be able to set emby in "demo mode" which would be playing videos randomly but with a set of basic rules like...

 

- play me a random video from my library

     - must be a trailer

     - must be a movie

     - must be a chapter

     - must be an episode

     - must be a music video

- the image size must be at least

     - SD

     - HD

     - 4K

- the sound must be at least

     - Stereo

     - 5.1

     - 7.1

- the release date must be

     - the current year

     - no older that 5 years old

     - all time

- etc ... (there's a bunch more i can think of... codec, parental rating, genre, imdb score...)

 

Some sort of video based screen saver i guess, but launchable any time

 

...and maybe "Demo Mode" isn't such a great name but that's the basic idea

Well.. Can you make a playlist out of trailers?

 

Maybe what i am referring to could be also a "smart playlist generator"
