legallink 187 Posted February 25, 2014 Posted February 25, 2014 I thought I posted this yesterday, but I can't find my post anywhere. Anyways, love mediabroswer/server/app, yada yada. Has made my HTPC experience fantastics. Robustness, etc. For some reason, one of my wife's tv shows is not recognizing a few episodes (3 to be exact). I'm posting a screenshot of mediabrowser server interface showing the episodes it finds (and obviously the episodes it doesn't find are not there), a screen shot of the folder, which shows the folder hierarchy in the network path (as well as all the video files), and a screenshot of the metadata folder, which shows that Mediabrowser gathered metadata for all the episodes, including the ones not showing up. Thoughts? I'm running Server Version 3.0.5168.16132 Thanks for your help. Jeff
Solution ebr 16169 Posted February 25, 2014 Solution Posted February 25, 2014 Looks like you are using an unsupported naming convention for your episodes. See: TV Series 1
legallink 187 Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 I'll try changing that, but it works for every other tv show.
legallink 187 Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 And by unconventional, do you mean the SE02 as opposed to S02? Or were you referring to something else?
legallink 187 Posted February 25, 2014 Author Posted February 25, 2014 That did it. Thanks! Is there a reason that it labels everything as episode 10 and I have to go in and change that?
Luke 42077 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 i can't really answer that without specific examples, screenshots, etc.
Luke 42077 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 if you have existing metadata files then that is a way of filling in the information that the server was unable to parse from the file name. so you could try looking inside those metadata files to see if season numbers and episode numbers are there. but for best results, use a supported naming convention.
