Just three things id like on the Emby Roku app :

Hi,

 

I converted to the Roku beta app when it was first released, and I am mighty impressed with where it has gone.  

 

I really want just three things added to it if possible

 

1 - To be able to move the horizontal sets up and down to suit my requirements (I want recorded TV at the top) - or to adhere to the home screen settings per each user on emby server.

2 - To be able to group the recorded TV into shows, then you select a show, and it opens the recordings for that show

3 - To be able to force transcode for the times when emby/roku get it wrong.

 

All these have been in the Blue Neon app for a long while.

#2 is already there.

 

Open your Recordings folder, navigate to "Series", there are all your shows...

Sorry - should have clarified this - I only have 'latest Recordings' as a line item - at the bottom of the list.  Possibly because I use the NextPVR Plugin ?

Its this I would like to move up to the top.

@@vaise Yes we haven't implemented all of these features for the plugins yet. Good news though, the beta server has a new way for you to use next pvr:

Doing it this way without the plugin will get you all of the Emby features that haven't been added to the plugins yet. Enjoy.

Yep - I read that with interest and was going to get the beta on tomorrow and give it a crack, but I saw the post that this would not be aware of tuner locks ?

 

I have three HDHomeRuns, each providing 2 tuners.

 

We sometimes have 5 things being recorded over all three devices at the same time.

 

I dont want to lose the ability to do this.

 

How will that work ?

The m3u nextpvr beta enhancement is not 'available tuner aware' so not really good for a PVR system unless you only have one tuner to start with.  I often have overlapping recordings in excess of 5 shows over three tuners.

 

So to recap my hearts desires for the new emby app :

2 - To be able to group the recorded TV into shows WITH NEXTPVR PLUGIN, then you select a show, and it opens all the recordings for that show

3 - To be able to force transcode for the times when emby/roku get it wrong.

 

I really cant think of any other reason for Blue Neon Night then.
