Eriya 4 Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Is there a way to hide a library from showing up on the Home screen? Specifically, I have a library with adult material that I want to access via Emby, but I don't want it showing up as a "Latest Adults Only" section, or showing up in "Up Next". I want it to only have a link in the left hand navigation menu under "Media". I know there are parental controls, but those don't fit what I'm looking to do.
Happy2Play 9780 Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Have you looked at teh Home Screen options? User Preferences (user icon top right)-Settings-Home Screen You can disable Lastest for libraries, but Next Up you would have to disable/hide for all libraries.
Eriya 4 Posted August 21, 2017 Author Posted August 21, 2017 I have looked there. Can't quite get it to do what I want. I guess I'll just have to leave that library off my Emby server until such a feature is implemented. So far though, I am enjoying Emby much more than Plex.
Luke 42078 Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Thanks for the feedback, and I agree we need more control in order to completely get a library off of the home screen.
ebr 16177 Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Parental controls should still get you what you need though...

dcook 299 Posted August 22, 2017 Posted August 22, 2017 If you have separate users you can only add that library to one specific user, anything in the library should not be visible to any other user.

Eriya 4 Posted August 22, 2017 Author Posted August 22, 2017 I'm trying to avoid making a second user account. What I want to achieve is to have that library available to me, but not risk having NSFW images or text on screen when I'm on break at work, and without having to flip between user accounts depending on my surroundings. But until such a thing is implemented, this solution will suffice, I guess. Sent from my Pixel using Tapatalk 1
Modify3453 3 Posted June 14, 2025 Posted June 14, 2025 I have the same objective but for foreign content. I want to be able to group it separately (in a different library) and if desired, navigate into it specifically but disable it from showing on the home screen, up next, latest, etc sections. @LukeHas any such function been added to each library yet? From the perspective of a simpleton, it sounds fairly easy to implement a basic toggle which the main interfaces checks.
