nukki 0 Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Dear emby devs and community. i know this is not the way i am supposed to handle files... but i have an "incoming"-folder where new episodes show up (via duckieTV). Since none of them have a parent-folder with "showname/" emby doesn't scrape them properly. But all of them habe a pretty readable "shownameS01E01.ext" naming scheme. They all show up under "latest TV", but only with the Filename. The Season and Episode Number is recognised. Is this the way its supposed to work? Am i doing something wrong? Could we maybe have a option for us messier individuals? Could the server maybe take a wild guess, that if i have 106 Episodes "Randomw Show", that Random.Show.S0xxExx" ist the next Episode? Thanx for your great project an lively community.
ebr 16199 Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 Have you considered using the AutoOrganize feature?
Luke 42086 Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 We can handle the messy file names it's just that currently a parent series folder is required in order to accommodate all possible tv features. Without this, you can still import them into the library, it's just that as you'll notice some screens will probably be blank without the series relationship.
nukki 0 Posted August 26, 2017 Author Posted August 26, 2017 Thanks for your fast replies. I am testing the AutoOrganize right now. One problem: I have two library folder for tvshows. AutoOrganize can only select a watch-folder. Not a destination folder. I already tried to hack this by naming them alphabetically. But the feature still seems to prefer the inconvenient one ;-) Could you maybe add an option, that you can select which of the library folders ist used for Auto-Organize? That would be great.
